About Us - Our Founders A little about our founders: Marianne and Ken Ferrans are the co-founders of Simply Christian® (thanks Judy for the name!). Around 2002, as members of Dutilh UMC in Cranberry Twp. PA, Marianne was involved with the Children's Ministry and Ken helped with the Multimedia Ministry. When they decided to see how the two different Ministries could work together the Online Sunday School ™ was born! Marianne
and Ken met during the early days of his recovery from a serious accident. Since
that time they have concentrated on working with various non-profit
organizations
such as the
Massachusetts Brain Injury Association,
Cranberry Volunteer Fire Department,
little league
and
Pop Warner football
programs. Later they began to work towards helping
churches
with their internet needs. From the fruits of these efforts and with
the help of many others (e.g., Mrs.
Ferrans, an accounting professional with a fifteen-year record of
achievement in both in the Public and Corporate accounting arenas,
earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Newbury College. Mr. Ferrans has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a Certified Professional Achievement awarded from Northeastern University. While at Raytheon, Mr. Ferrans was responsible for the design and development of Product Generation Software (graphic displays), a component of the Next Generation Weather Radar Doppler (NEXRAD) system. NEXRAD, which is currently used nationwide, was one of the first distributed, real-time, processing systems of its kind. Click here to see live Doppler weather radar . At Boston Technology (now Comverse Network Solutions ), Mr. Ferrans was responsible for the design, development and integration of networked-based enhanced telecommunication services which reside on a distributed applications platform. It forms the basis of Verizon's, AT&T's, Sprint's and many International Telecommunication companies currently deployed subscriber voice mail and unified messaging systems. |

Dr. Clark Edwards, Dorothy Walker, Pastor Dr. Donald Scandrol, Robert Ungar, Mike Reimer,
Bruce Allison, just to name a few) Marianne and Ken are now bringing churches the Online Sunday School. 
As
a public accountant her focus was corporate audits, corporation and partnership reviews,
full charge accounting, payroll services and employee benefit plans. While
in corporate accounting Marianne was responsible for all aspects
of the payroll department for a 1,200 employee global leader of
manufactured telecommunication equipment.
